Come

Arms open on a ridge. A hand in the water. The invitation that is the whole gospel.

Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:37

The final chapter is not about a throne. It is an invitation. Christ stands with open arms, reaches through the water, and extends a wounded hand. The scriptures return to this truth again and again: His glory looks like welcome.

That promise gathers the whole journey. Come unto me. Come, follow me. Come and see. The living Christ is not a memory to be framed. He is a person who still walks toward the living. If a picture on this wall helps one person turn toward him, the gallery has done enough.

Stand here a moment. The field at evening. The open arms. The hope, quiet, and finished, and meant for you.

Before you leave

Remain with Him a moment.

You do not need to answer quickly.

What have you come to understand about Him?

What might following Him ask of you now?

Jesus Christ lives. His grace is sufficient, His invitation is still open, and the way before you begins with one faithful step.
